Separate ministry will give wings to co-op movement: Mehta

In a statement issued for the press Jyotindrabhai Mehta national chairman and patron of Sahakar Bharti has hailed the creation of a separate ministry of cooperation by the Modi govt. saying it will give wings to the cooperative movement in the country. Put another way, it will greatly help the country achieve prosperity through cooperation, he underlined.

Mehta recalled that while in Gujarat prime minister Narendrabhai Modi and Amitbhai Shah both knew the cooperative sector up close as they were involved in activities related to cooperatives.

It is their understanding of the transformative role of cooperatives that has led them to forming the ministry of cooperation, Mehta said.

The central govt.’s decision has brought great cheer to the RSS leaning Sahakar Bharti. The latter has a presence across the country and its motto is, ‘Vina Sahkar Nahi Uddhar (No Salvation Without Cooperation)’ i.e., cooperation is a uniform weapon to deliver

happiness–facilities to the last person and to give a new dimension to the development of the country through the same.

It is worth mentioning that there is a slogan introduced in the formation of the cooperative Ministry, ‘Sahakar Se Samruddhi’ i.e., Prosperity through Cooperation. The only activity that has been running in all the corners of the country for so many decades and working equally for all.

Sahakar Bharti; leaders like Satish Marathe (ex-patron), Jyotindra Mehta (patron), Ramesh Vaidya (chairman) and Uday Joshi (general secretary) have welcomed the historic decision and have conveyed their gratitude to the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendrabhai Modi for creating the separate ministry of cooperation.
