Members of the board of the Rajasthan state cooperative bank had planned a jaunt to Europe but the trip is embroiled in controversy. The trip is alleged to have not been approved by the government. The date of the trip has also been changed again and again.
The board of the cooperative bank had itself approved the jaunt in the name of study and those going on the trip were also members of the board. Registrar of cooperative societies was not present in the board meeting. The board sent the agenda passed in the meeting to the registrar but no approval came from him.
It is worth repeating that even earlier a proposed foreign trip by the cooperative minister along with some board members had been in the news. Finally, the trip got cancelled by the state govt.
The present trip is supposed to cover Zurich Amsterdom, Brussels and Paris.
Besides, Chairman and MD of the apex bank are scheduled to go on a jaunt to Paris on 24th September. When contacted Chairman Maderna refused to answer questions.
