The new multi-storey sprawling headquarters of Pune based Sadhana Sahakari Bank was inaugurated by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday in the presence of distinguished guests. Interestingly, Pawar is also one of the shareholders of this bank.
The new headquarters of the bank is located at Amanora Park Town, Hadapsar.The bank is controlled by co-operators owing allegiance to NCP.
Sadhana Sahakari Bank’s new building is expected to spread over the area of about 10,000 square feet and the estimated cost of construction is about Rs 9 crore. The solar panel was installed at the rooftop of the new office.
“It is equipped with all the new facilities. It is built in a manner that each hall or room has enough ventilation. Since the last 1.5 years the construction work has been going on and all the departments of the bank come under one roof”, said Anil Tupe, Chairman of the bank talking to Indian Cooperative correspondent.
“In the new building, the bank also constructed the board meeting hall and training centre with a capacity of 60 people”, added Tupe.
Soon after the inauguration of the new building, Sharad Pawar shared the details and photos through social media and praised the efforts of the bank in helping the needy in all the best possible ways.
He tweeted, “I am also a member of Sadhana Bank. Sadhana Bank is known as one of the best performing banks in the field of co-operation. The bank has undertaken a number of social initiatives. On this occasion, I wish the bank well in its future endeavours”.
On the occasion, Pawar also unveiled the statue of former MLA Late Vitthalrao Tupe Patil, who is said to have played a key role in the establishment of this bank.
The local MLA from Hadapsar, Pune Chetan Vitthal Tupe, MSC Bank Chairman Vidyadhar Anaskar, bank’s board members, officials and others were present on the occasion.
Sadhana Sahakari Bank has a network of 28 branches across Maharashtra and having a business mix of around 900 crore and earned a net profit of Rs 6 crore. The good thing about this bank is that its Net NPA has been Zero for many years.
