Amidst coronavirus scare, Nagaland State Cooperative Bank organized a virtual meeting of all its branch managers recently to review the half yearly financial position under Development Action Plan 2020- 2021.
On the occasion, all the managers of 22 branches spread across the state were present and were encouraged by the management to perform better in the future.
The news was shared by the bank’s Vice-Chairman Kekhwengulo Lea with Indian Cooperative through WhatsApp. During the meeting, Lea lauded the bank for donating Rs 5 lakh towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund.
Mobile ATM service was provided to the unbanked location within Dimapur District during the Nationwide lockdown due to Covid-19, informed Lea.
On behalf of the BoDs, Lea congratulated the bank for recovering the accumulated loss and making working profit from the last financial year after struggling for many years. He also urged the employees to be humble and honest in dealing with the customers and in their assigned work.
The IT department had successfully conducted the meeting, the Board meeting will also be held virtually as the situation is not advisable for all the board members to come to Dimapur at this juncture, said Lea.
The conference was attended by Biwas DGM NABARD, Lipoktoba Aier MD, NStCB, General Managers and others.
For many years, the bank was grappling with a financial crisis but now the bank is earning a handsome profit year after year and also catering to the needs of people in a good manner.
Readers would recall that earlier, the Ministry of Rural Development, GOI had awarded National Recognition Commendation to Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB) for spectacular performance in SHG Bank linkage during 2018-19 in New Delhi.
NStCB was established on 4th November 1966 and has 21 branches in the state. The Bank is equipped with the latest technologies trying to meet the needs of its clients.
