Cooperative banks in Madhya Pradesh will soon undergo technological modernization. All district cooperative banks including the Apex Bank would be linked with core banking facilities.
This step would enable them to offer their tens of thousands of account holders the state of the art banking services.
With core banking in place, it would be easily possible for the cooperative banks to make available the latest facilities like real time gross settlement and national electronic fund transfer to their customers.
MP cooperatives minister Gauri Shankar Bisen has called upon his department to exert itself to create an attractive banking atmosphere in the state.
Sources say the process of bringing core banking into existence marks a landmark event in the history of cooperative banking in MP.
