Pune based Sadhana Sahakari Bank is small but has ambitious plans to take the bank to newer heights. The bank is planning to shift its headquarters to a new location at Amanora Park Town, Hadapsar and it is expected that the work will be completed by August 2021.
The bank, which is controlled by co-operators owing allegiance to NCP, has a sprawling new building spread over the area of about 10,000 square feet and the estimated cost of construction is about Rs 9 crore.
Talking to Indian Cooperative correspondent the bank Chairman Anil Tupe said, “We are at the verge of completion of construction work of a new building which is equipped with all the new facilities. The finishing work is going on and we are expecting that the work will be completed in August this year”.
“It is built in a manner that each hall or room has enough ventilation. Since the last 1.5 years the construction work has been going on. All the departments will come under one roof. We have also constructed the board meeting hall and training centre with capacity of 60 people at our new headquarters”, Tupe added.
He further said, the need of constructing the new head office was felt because our existing headquarters is too small and was built 25 year ago. But the good thing is that both offices are owned by the bank.
“The solar panel was installed at the rooftop of the new office. We are planning to get the new office inaugurated by the NCP supremo Chief Sharad Pawar”, the bank Chairman said.
Besides, on Wednesday, the local MLA from Hadapsar Chetan Vitthal Tupe had also taken stock of the situation of the bank’s new office. Sharing the details, he tweeted, ” Visited the construction site of the new building of the head office of Sadhana Sahakari Bank today. The head office of Sadhana Sahakari Bank is being set up at Amanora Park Town.”.
The bank also donated Rs 7 lakh towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund in order to support the government’s fight against the coronavirus.
Readers would recall that recently the bank had launched UPI service for its customers.
Sadhana Sahakari Bank has a network of 28 branches across Maharashtra and having a business mix of around 900 crore and earned a net profit of Rs 6 crore. The good thing about this bank is that its Net NPA has been Zero for many years.
