The Kangra Co-operative Bank Limited, the largest Co-operative Bank of NCTD ( National Capital Territory of Delhi ) , opened a new branch in the southern part of the capital city of India recently , increasing total number of branches in the South Delhi District to two and in the capital city to eight .
The new branch is located at M.B. Road, Pul Pahladpur. Smt. Rachna Dikshit , General Manager , UBD , RBI, New Delhi inaugurated the branch .
The inauguration function was attended by Shri J P Joiya , AGM,UBD,RBI New Delhi, Shri Laxmi Dass Chairman of the Bank and Delhi Urban Bank Federation , Shri Shakti Chand Sharma, Vice Chairman of the bank , Shri B R Sharma , HCA&PD( Ex-MD) , Shri A C Parmar , Managing Director , among others .
Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Rachna Dikshit said, “I congratulate Kangra Co-operative Bank on the inauguration of new branch in Pul Pehladpur area of New Delhi. It is very encouraging to see Kangra Bank increases its presence in the city. The people will benefit greatly from the Bank’s existing products and good customer services and I am quite hopeful of the Bank scaling greater heights in Delhi.”
Mr. Laxmi Dass , Chairman of the Bank said, “The Bank has always been at the forefront of extending best banking solutions to its customers. The opening of new branch is yet another step towards providing access to a common man being deprived of Banking services by other big banks and is in line with our “ SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY WITH SMILE THROUGH CO-OPERATIVES “ philosophy of keeping the community’s needs as the main point of our business.”
Shri Shakti Chand Sharma , Vice Chairman and Shri B R Sharma , HCA & PD ( EX-MD) also apprised the august gathering with the history of the Bank right from its formation as thrift and credit co-operative Society way back in March, 1960 . Shri B R Sharma said “ The Bank has been working very actively with some leading IT companies to install its own ATMs and issue of its own RuPay Debit Cards to its customers which will be accepted at all ATMs across the country “ .
Shri A C Parmar ,Managing Director said “ Kangra bank is going to open its another branch in next two 
months at Bhajanpura area of East Delhi for which Licence by RBI has already been granted. The Bank has been opening branches one after the other which inspires confidence of general customer in urban cooperative banks.
The Bank is continuing its expansion assurance and adopting state of the art IT technology. This new branch is fully CBS / RTGS/NEFT compliant like its existing branches and has now been fully dedicated to the service of the nation.”
