For this job, 55 applicants had applied but only 11 aspirants were shortlisted by the five-member selection committee headed by the bank administrator IAS, Neha Arora. And five candidates came for the interview held at the bank premises at Ranchi on 1st June 2022.

After the resignation of former CEO Prem Prakash, the post was vacant for more than one year and the charge had been given to Accounts Manager Rajesh Kumar Tiwari. Now Kumar has been appointed as the CEO for a period of three years on a contract basis and asked to join the office on 20th June 2022.

Buoyed with the news, Manoj Kumar said to Indian Cooperative , “Yes, I have been given a big responsibility as the new CEO of the apex bank and I will work to take the bank to newer heights. I have a long experience in the cooperative banking sector. I will join the new office in the first week of July after getting relieved from my present job”, he informed.

It is worth mentioning that Kumar had started his career at Pithoragarh DCCB as a senior branch manager. Later on, he joined as a deputy general manager in Nainital and Chamoli District Central Cooperative Bank. He also worked as General Manager in Tehri DCCB.

Meanwhile, the bank is without management, and administrator Neha Arora has been overseeing the activities of the bank for the past several months. But the preparations for conducting the elections in the bank are underway.
