Sights and confusion somewhat reminiscent of the days of the great depression in the 30s were seen at Thane when hundreds of account holders were seen standing outside the CKP cooperative bank to withdraw their money.
The scene was triggered by the news that the state cooperative dept had found the CKP cooperative bank tottering on the brink of collapse and therefore appointed an Administrator to look after the bank.
However, there was no official word on the report.
The CKP cooperative bank is an old bank with several branches in Thane and Mumbai and is headquartered at Matunga.
Ckp coop.bank being old, good and what not?
