Himachalis gel well with people: Thakur at Kangra Banks’ function

Kangra Urban Cooperative Bank of Delhi-NCR opened its 11th branch near Shadipur Metro in Delhi on Monday. The branch was inaugurated by Anurag Thakur member of Lok Sabha from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh. Son of former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, junior Thakur is well-known BJP face in Delhi party circles.

Speaking on the occasion Anurag Thakur said Himachali migrants working in other states always try to gel with the local community and command respect for their hard work and honesty. This is the reason why Kangra Cooperative Bank with most of Himachalis associated with it is successful, he said.

Thakur added Kangra Cooperative Bank has enough credibility to make a difference -something that deserves encouragement and support. Thakur also lauded various welfare schemes the 2018 budgetary allocation for general healthcare facilities for the poor.

Laxmi Dass, Chairman of the bank spoke about UCB’s history and continual financial growth. He announced that a new branch will be operational in March in Nangloi-western Delhi.

“Our bank is listed on the top 100 UCBs among over 1500 Urban Cooperative Banks in India. For the success of any organization honesty is important and Kangra Bank is an example. We are not only running the bank but our objective is to strengthen the 100 years old cooperative movement of the country”, he added.

The former transport minister of Himachal Pradesh G.S.Bali, Bank Chairman Laxmi Dass, Vice-Chairman Shakti Chand Sharma, Advisor Attar Chand Parmar, board members and others were present on the occasion. There were delegates who had come from across Himachal Praesh.

Jamia Cooperative Bank Vice-Chairman R.N.Srivastav and Indraprastha Sehkari Bank CEO Rajeev Gupta were also present on the occasion.

Kangra Cooperative Bank Advisor and Ex-Managing Director Attar Chand Parmar proposed a vote of thanks.
