Breaking News: Hackers siphon off Rs 1.51 cr from DNS Bank

Maharashtra based leading bank- Dombivli Nagari Sahakari (DNS) Bank was targeted by cyber fraudsters who hacked into its server and siphoned off over Rs 1.51 crore on 12 March 2022.

According to Police, the server of the bank was hacked and the data was tampered with on March 12 by unidentified hackers who siphoned off Rs 1,51,96,854.

A case was registered against unidentified persons under section 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 65 of the Information Technology Act at Manpada police station located at Kalyan division.

The further investigation is underway.

The bank has a network of 68 branches spread across 15 districts of Maharashtra.
