Golden Jubilee: NAFSCOB enters into celebratory mood

It is a year of Golden Jubilee for the apex federation of cooperative banks (NAFSCOB). The cooperative federation has lined up many programs to celebrate the occasion.

National Federation of State Cooperative Banks (NAFSCOB) was established on May 19, 1964 with a view to facilitate the operations of State Cooperative Banks (SCBs) and District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) in particular and development of cooperative credit and banking in general.

NAFSCOB is well poised to celebrate Golden Jubilee during the year 2013-14. In order to celebrate the performance and achievements during the last 50 years, numbers of events during the year have been initiated.

They are,

(i) Two separate Regional Seminar on ‘Recent Trends in Cooperative Banking’ scheduled on 24-01-2014 and 08-02-2014,
(ii) National Seminar on ‘Recent Trends in Cooperative Banking’ on May 19, 2014.

Further, as a part of celebration of Golden Jubilee, NAFSCOB contemplates to present Annual Performance Awards to SCBs, DCCBs and Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) for the year 2012-13. NAFSCOB published around 400 documents which includes articles, papers, research reports/studies etc. NAFSCOB also organised around 164 seminars/workshops/conferences so far.
