Pawar gives Award to Model Bank; Upbeat UCB vows to grow further

Model Co-operative Bank has won the 1st prize for the overall best performance in the category of deposits above Rs.1000 crore among cooperative banks for the financial year 2018-19. Maharashtra State Co-operative Banks’ Association has given away the prize, informs a press release sent by the UCB.

The Award Function was held in Mumbai on Monday, 10th February, 2020. The function was attended by Senior Management and Directors from Co-operative Banks. Model cooperative bank has won 11 awards in the last five years.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar and Co-operation Minister, Balasaheb Patil presented the award to Model Co-operative Bank.

Chairman-Mr Albert W. D’Souza, Vice Chairman- William Sequeira, Directors- Paul Nazareth, Pius Vas, Lawrence D’Souza, Thomas Lobo, General Manager & CEO- William L. D’Souza and Deputy General Manager- Zenon D’Cruz attended the function.

The President of the Association Mukund Kalamkar and Chief Executive Officer-Mrs. Swati Pande were also present.

The Bank has its roots in the Mangalorean Catholic Co-operative Credit Society, which was registered on 26th April, 1916. The Bank, has completed 103 years of its foundation and is proud to receive this award, read a press release mailed by the UCB.

The Bank has launched Mobile Banking app on 28th January 2020, that offers quick and secured access to the Customers’ Bank account on the go.

The Chairman, Albert W. D’Souza and Board of Directors have extended their gratitude to all the Shareholders, Customers and Well Wishers.
