Cosmos to have 50 branches in Mumbai: Goyal

The Cosmos bank inaugurated its Goregaon Branch in Mumbai on 18th June 2013. The inauguration took place at the hands of Mr Kewalchand Jain, the Chairman of Kewal Kiran Group of Companies.

The Chairman Krishnakumar Goyal, Vice-Chairman Mr. Milind Kale, the MD Vikrant Ponkshe, and the directors Madhukar Atre,  Jitendra Shaha, and Sunil Sabnis of the Cosmos Bank were present at the occasion.

The depositors and account holders were also present in a large number.

Goregaon branch is 130th branch of the Bank. In the next 2-3 years Cosmos Bank will increase its number of branches up to 50 in Mumbai region.” said the Chairman on the occasion.

Goyal further said, “Cosmos currently has 26 branches in Mumbai region. In the next 2-3 years, the number shall rise up to 50. Cosmos is the oldest Co-operative Bank in India with the legacy of 107 years. It has nurtured goals of three generations with its personalized services and has followed the motto of ‘Tatpar Sewa-Sasmit Sewa’ in its every product and service.”

“With the legacy of 107 years, Cosmos Bank has gained trust of its millions of customers across 6 states and I am sure it will expand to more regions in India as well as on the global map.“said Kewalchand Jain.

Cosmos Bank is the fastest growing co-operative Bank in India with the business set up of over Rs. 22,600 crore. It registered the deposits worth Rs. 4 crore on the day of inauguration of Goregaon branch.

The Bank has 130 branches across 6 states. The ceremony began with opening speech from Mr. Ratnakar Nadkarni – the Chief General Manager-Mumbai region. He also introduced the Chief Guest and thanked all the dignitaries.
