Cosmos Bank organizes talk on Budget

The Cosmos Co-operative Bank along with the Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce had together arranged a lecture on “Union Budget 2016-17” by Chandrashekhar Tilak last week . On this occasion, Cosmos Bank’s Chairman  Milind Kale, Vice-Chairman – Madhukar Atre, Managing Director – Vikrant Ponkshe, Principal of BMCC –Dr. C. N. Rawal and other imminent dignitaries were present.

Speaking on the occasion Chandrashekhar Tilak, Executive Vice-President – National Securities Depository Ltd. (NSDL)said the Union Budget 2016-17 has a shelf life of 2-3 years and the results of this Union Budgets can be reaped in the upcoming time said

Tilak very eloquently analysed and explained the Union Budget 2016-17 in detail. He said that this while celebrating 25 years of Financial Reforms, if the provisions in this Union Budget are properly implemented, it will positively reflect on the Economy, certainly showing long-term results in the next two to three years. This Union Budget has given Sports sector the status of an Industry and addressed the Public Transport System in a budget for the very first time.

The prime focus is on the development of Basic Infrastructure and increasing provisions on Agriculture-Farmers and Food Industry. These four issues are addressed in the Budget and this Union Budget has the power to profoundly change the Indian Economy, analysed Mr. Tilak. This Budget stands by the Public Sector Banks, and with its appropriate execution the Indian Economy will definitely change for better in the coming 2-3 years. Mr. Tilak specially pointed out that The Budget is ensuing the Government’s slogan of “Acche Din Layenge”.

Cosmos Bank Chairman, CA Milind Kale welcomed the audience and felicitated Mr. Chandrashekhar Tilak. Principal Dr. Rawal explained the objective behind organizing the lecture while Cosmos Bank’s Vice-Chairman, Mr. Madhukar Atre proposed the vote of thanks.
