The leading urban cooperative bank, Cosmos Bank has adopted a new logo in an effort to energize its working further. The new logo is the graphic presentation of Mangal Kalash aimed at taking Cosmos Bank on still higher path of success.
The new logo was unveiled by Padma Vibhushan Dr. K. H. Sancheti, the founder-director of Sancheti Hospital. Speaking on the occasion an upbeat Chairman Krishnakumar Goyal said that the UCB is confident of scaling further heights of success in times to come.
The function took place at Cosmos Tower, the new, state-of-the-art, Corporate Office of Cosmos Bank. Several worthies such as Vice-Chairman, Milind Kale, Chairman Emeritus, Dr. Mukund Abhyankar, Managing Director, Vikrant Ponkshe, Directors of the Board, Members, Customers, well-wishers and staff members were present on this occasion.
After the inauguration, Dr. Sancheti said that after seeing the Corporate Office of Cosmos Bank, he felt as if he was visiting a foreign bank. He expressed his pleasure on seeing the magnificent building with its splendid interiors and modern technology.
He also said that he was sure that bank will continue to flourish in the coming times. He pointed out that he had studied the new logo and found it to be powerful and dynamic. The logo which is the graphic presentation of Mangal Kalash will take Cosmos Bank on further path of success.
Krishnakumar Goyal in his address informed that Cosmos Bank is the oldest, yet very modern, tech-savvy bank and has the honor of implementing many ‘firsts’ in co-operative banking sector. The new logo of the bank is the modern ‘Mangal Kalash’. Goyal also informed that Cosmos Bank will be opening 10 new branches in Tamilnadu and Maharashtra till March 2015. Bank is ready to scale new peaks in banking industry.
Chairman Emeritus, Dr. Mukund Abhyankar pointed out that bank having legacy of 108 years, has amicable relations with 4 generations of customers. Due to this affection and support of customers, bank has continuously been successful in giving the best of services.
Managing Director – Vikrant Ponkshe, explained the concept behind the new logo. Vice-Chairman, Milind Kale introduced the Chief Guest, Dr. Sancheti to the invitees. While the logo launch extravaganza took place at Cosmos Tower, the new logo inauguration programmes was carried out simultaneously at 135 branches of Cosmos Bank at the hands of imminent personalities. Managing Director, Vikrant Ponkshe, proposed vote of thanks.
At present, the set-up of Cosmos Bank is more than Rs.25,400 crore with strong presence in 7 states through its 135 branches.
