Cosmos Bank: Goyal makes it again

krishna kumar goyalKrishnakumar Goyal has been elected as the Chairman and Madhukar Atre as the Vice-Chairman of Pune based urban cooperative bank Cosmos Bank. Both of them were elected unanimously.

In the recently held elections as in Cosmos Bank for the Board of Directors for the years 2015-2020, as reported in the columns of Indian Cooperative, all the 13 candidates of Sahakar Panel won with landslide majority.

The elections for the post of Chairman and Vice-Chairman were conducted in the very first Board Meeting after this landslide victory. All elected members were present for the first Board Meeting. This meeting was presided over by the Returning Officer for the recent elections, Mr. Shailesh Kotmire.

A press release by the Cosmos Bank calls the newly-elected Chairman Krishnakumar Goyal as a very successful businessman and proud owner of the empire – Kohinoor Group. He has been Director of Cosmos bank since 1994. Mr Goyal is social conscience, heading many social activities like setting up of schools, colleges & other educational institutions, the release adds.

Going lyrical the press release calls Kumar a very active social worker, working for the Agarwal Samaj and honored with Agrabhushan and Agraratna awards from Agarwal Samaj as well as Udyogbhushan award from Lions Club. He is associated with Khadki Shikshan Sanstha since 1992 as Vice Chairman. In many cultural activities and development as the Vice Chairman of “ Akhil Bhartiya Natya Parishad” since 1996.

Vice-Chairman Madhukar Atre is a successful Architect, Government approved Valuer who has worked on various committees of the bank. A very senior and scholarly director, who was also Chairman of the Bank more than three times
