Cosmos Bank has reported a robust all-round performance for the financial year 2025–26, posting strong growth in deposits, advances and overall business while maintaining asset quality within regulatory norms. The announcement was made by Chairman Pralhad Kokare at a press conference held at the bank’s head office, Cosmos Bhavan.

According to the bank, its total business crossed the Rs 44,000 crore mark as on March 31, 2026, registering a year-on-year growth of 14 percent. The overall business expansion stood at Rs 5,366 crore during the year, reflecting steady traction across both deposit mobilisation and credit disbursement.

Deposits rose by Rs 3,215 crore to reach Rs 26,122 crore, indicating sustained customer confidence and a growing liability base. On the asset side, advances increased by Rs 2,151 crore, taking the total loan portfolio to Rs 17,878 crore. The bank attributed this growth to its continued focus on retail and small-ticket lending, aligned with regulatory expectations.

In compliance with norms set by the Reserve Bank of India, Cosmos Bank maintained a healthy composition of its loan book. Loans up to Rs 3 crore constituted 52.52 percent of the total credit portfolio, surpassing the mandated threshold of 50 percent for such small loans. This reflects the bank’s emphasis on supporting MSMEs, small businesses and individual borrowers.

On the asset quality front, the bank reported a Gross Non-Performing Asset (NPA) ratio of 3.10 percent and a Net NPA of 0.90 percent as of March 31, 2026. While the figures remain unaudited, the management indicated that the numbers demonstrate effective risk management and recovery mechanisms in a challenging credit environment.

Expanding its geographical footprint, Cosmos Bank inaugurated 10 new branches in Gujarat during the year, taking its network in the state to 38 branches. Overall, the bank now operates 193 branches across seven states. The leadership reiterated its intent to deepen presence in high-growth regions, particularly South India and Western Maharashtra, as part of its medium-term expansion strategy.

The press conference was also attended by Vice Chairman Yashwant Kasar, Chairman of the Board of Management Milind Kale, Managing Director Apekshita Thipsay, along with other directors and senior officials. The leadership expressed optimism about sustaining growth momentum in the coming financial year, backed by digital initiatives, branch expansion and customer-centric offerings.

With a balanced focus on growth, compliance and asset quality, Cosmos Bank’s FY26 performance underscores the resilience of the cooperative banking sector amid evolving financial dynamics.
