Keeping with its tradition of honoring Women Power, this year too, the Cosmos Co-op Bank Ltd., celebrated International Women’s Day enthusiastically on 8th March at Cosmos Tower – the state of the art Corporate Office.
Celebrating this programme with a cause, a CSR activity was undertaken. The staff donated items of stationery for underprivileged children through the NGO ‘Make a Difference’. The collected stationery items were handed over to Aditya Dave- Support Head of the NGO.
On this occasion, Chairman – Krishnakumar Goyal reiterated the important role of women in Cosmos Bank’s growth. The percentage of women staff in Cosmos Bank is high. He said that he has complete faith in the capacity of the women to take Cosmos Bank to further heights of success. Goyal wished all the women the very best on the occasion of Mahila Din.
Senior Director Dr. Smita Jog thanked the Board of Directors for supporting the Mahila Din programme of Cosmos Bank every year. She urged the women to celebrate their achievements and at the same time call for improvement in the qualities which they already possess.
Managing Director, Vikrant Ponkshe said that he salutes the women power and has confidence that with the determination and energy of the women staff, Cosmos Bank will reach the zenith.
Knowledgeable guest lectures by Dr. Shirish Patwardhan and Medha Gokhale on weight control-weight loss and wellness & life management were arranged on this occasion.
Cultural programme, food competition, ‘Brides of India’ fashion show and other enjoyable activities were also organized during this event.
Directors of the Board along with their spouses were present for the programme. The programme was well-attended by the ladies staff of Cosmos Bank from Pune branches as well as out-station branches. The compering of the programme was done by Ruta Kale. General Manager, Madhuri Marathe proposed the vote of thanks.
