CM to inaugurate Cosmos Tower

CosmosThe second largest urban cooperative bank of the nation Cosmos Bank has attracted the attention of new Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who has consented to inaugurate its majestic new building today in Pune.

Informing this to media in a press conference a couple of days ago, Mr Krishnakumar Goyal, Chairman said that bank’s state-of-the-art Corporate Office, Cosmos Tower would be inaugurated on Tuesday, 25.11.2014 at the auspicious hands of Hon’ble Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Cosmos Tower hosts Currency Chest which is pride of Cosmos Bank making it the very first co-operative bank across India to receive Reserve Bank of India’s permission for opening a currency chest. This Currency Chest at Cosmos Tower is fully operational.cosmos-tower1

Goyal informed that the total construction area of Cosmos Tower is 2.70 lac square feet which comprises of 2 basements, ground floor and 12 upper floors. The parking area is 80 thousand sq feet while the working area is 1.5 lac sq feet.

The building has many plants, green wall and water bodies for soothing ambiance. There is a provision for conference hall with a capacity of 450 persons. There is designated area for library, gymnasium, medical rooms and yoga floor. The necessary physical and virtual security measures like CCTVs, access controls, baggage scanners, metal detectors, fire-alarms, fire intrusion, motion detectors etc., have been put into place.

Besides the Chairman-Krishnakumar Goyal, the Press Conference was attended by the Vice-Chairman Milind Kale, Chairman Emeritus Dr Mukund Abhyankar, all Directors of the Board and the Managing Director Vikrant Ponkshe.

The present set-up of Cosmos Bank is more than Rs. 25,500 crore through its 137 branches.

    It will be great if Our Chief minister will also concentrate to resolve the problem of Rupee bank . Since it is a great problem faced by Punekars and all over Maharashtra due to mis deeds of bank authorities with gloves in hand with previous politicians,it is a good chance to impress the depositers and bank account holders who have put their hard earned money in co operative bank.
    He should initiate actions in consultations with central government and RBI so that lacs of Rupee bank depositers will get their rights who have put faith on Indian cooperatives.Due to RBI restrictions depositers and account holders are unable to use their own money since about 2 years.Victims are suffering and culprits are moving free,this is the present condition !

    he should order the Registrar while in Pune to invoke following Section.

    Section(1AB) The members of the committee shall be jointly and severally responsible for all the decisions taken by the committee during its term relating to the business of the
    society. The members of the committee shall be jointly and severally responsible for all
    the acts and omissions detrimental to the interest of the society.
    Provided that, before fixing any responsibility mentioned above, the Registrar shall inspect the records of the society and decide as to whether the losses incurred by the society are on account of acts or omissions on the part of the members of the committee or on account of any natural calamities, accident or any circumstances beyond the control of such members:
