Yet again an attempt was made to loot a cooperative bank in Dindigul in TamilNadu. However, the criminals had no success as the local people got alerted and caught one of them. The criminal was handed over to them by the local people, police officials were quoted as saying.
The criminals’ modus operandi was not unusual: as is normally expected they came in a vehicle to commit the crime in the small hours. As soon as they came and began cutting the window to gain entry into the bank building, the villagers were allerted by some people who saw them forcing their entry.
Police have seized the vehicle and are trying to catch the other two criminals who could disappear from the scene of crime.
