Amidst the Covid-19 crisis, Haryana based Bhiwani Central Cooperative Bank has organized its 35th Annual General Meeting recently in which Haryana Cooperative Minister Banwari Lal was the chief guest.
On the occasion, Lal not only participated in the AGM but also inaugurated the bank’s Behal branch which has shifted to a new location. He also distributed the loan cheques worth of Rs 50k to the street vendors, hawkers and others.
Addressing the delegates, Banwari said ”in the coming days we will computerize the PACCs of the state with an objective to make the societies work transparently. The state government is giving benefits of the welfare schemes to the people from the cooperative banks”.
“Farmers are getting urea seeds from PACCs spread across different villages of the state. He instructed the bank officials to create awareness about the schemes among the farmers so that they can avail the benefits”.
Sharing the details with Indian Cooperative bank’s Chief Executive Suresh Pal said, “The AGM was conducted with the sufficient members over 50 persons in the bank premises and all the safety norms were properly followed. The State Cooperative Minister was the Chief Guest on the occasion”.
“We have presented the financial report of the bank before the members which were unanimously passed. The bank has earned a profit of Rs 2.18 crore in 2019-2020 financial year”, Pal added.
Sharing the figures, the bank CEO said, “The deposit of the bank rose from 1,012 crore to Rs 1,294 crore in 2019-2020. The paid up share capital of the bank is Rs 58 crore and reserve funds and other funds are Rs 12 crore stood as on 31st March 2020”, he underlined.
The Bank has been serving the masses since its inception through a network of its 3 urban,3 semi- urban, 33 rural branches, 3 extension counters, one administrative office (Head Office) and 41 Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS),13 Cooperative credit & Service Society along with their 133 sale points (sub offices) within the Bhiwani District.
The Bhiwani Central Cooperative Bank Ltd came into existence in 1973 following the bifurcation of the Hisar District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd.
