The woes of Amanath cooperative bank depositors continue. The depositors of the bank want their money back without delay. They say they have waited too long and there is a limit to their patience.
Several depositors recently gathered at the head office in Shivajinagar demanding that they be allowed to withdraw cash.
The board of the bank is promising to return their money immediately after Ramzan.
But the account holders do not trust them and are not willing to give them any more time. They are insistent on getting their money here and now.
The situation seems beyond repair in that the bank could not sell its properties to raise funds as they are mired in litigation.
