Singh in Israel to deepen agro-ties

Indian agricultural Minister Radha Mohan Singh is visiting Israel meeting his counterpart as well as touring various centers of excellence in the field of agriculture in Israel.

He also met Indian officials, from various states who are receiving training in agriculture in Israel. Later he enjoyed Indian dish in the famed Israeli kibbutz.

Singh also visited Ramat Negev Desert Agro-research Center. He was fascinated by an orchard in Ramat Negev R&D Centre and at Alon Kama dairy farm- photographs of which he tweeted on the social media.

Experts felt Israel can be our partner is so many areas and we can learn a lot from their post-harvest skills. Singh also tweeted” With #Indian post doctoral researchers, specializing in post harvest management, at the #Israeli ARO.”

Earlier, Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh had inaugurated the Centre of Excellence (CoE) meant for fruits farming under Indo-Israel project at Ladwa, Kurukshetra.

In the function held in April 2016, he was also accompanied by Agriculture and Rural Development Minister of Israel Mr. M.K. Yuri Ariel, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister extended his hearty thanks to the Government of Israel for providing requisite technical assistance.
