Singh cancels visit to BRICS Forum

A harassed Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Radha Mohan Singh has postponed his visit to China. His visit was scheduled from 15th June 2017 to 17th June 2017. He was to take part in the BRICS forum.

PIB sources say given the importance of the BRICS Forum , the Secretary, Department of Agriculture Cooperation & Farmers Welfare will instead of the minister represent India in the meeting.

Sources add the minister would be in the country in view of tension gripping the farming community as also be available for policy decisions likely to be taken by State Governments towards farmers’ welfare.

Earlier, in Bhuvneshwar, Singh was hackled by the congressmen in the wake of Mandsaur killings. Later his Yoga Karo jibe was criticized in the media widely.
