The Minister of State for Agriculture Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Balyan informed Lok Sabha on Tuesday that moves to open Horticulture Universities in Telangana and Haryana are on right track.
A Notification was issued by the Government of Telangana for establishment of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University with headquarter at Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad, Balyan informed the House.
The Government of Haryana has identified lands for establishing State Horticultural University in Karnal, he added.
Readers would recall that in the Union–Budget 2014-2015, announcement was made for establishment of Horticultural Universities in the States of Telangana and Haryana.
