Inamdar Centenary: Singh wants an impressive show

Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh met about 12 cooperative leaders to discuss the issue of the birth centenary celebrations of late Shri Laxmanrao Inamdar on Tuesday forenoon in Shashtri Bhavan in Delhi.

The meeting spanning almost an hour deliberated on several issues related to the function. It was decided that the show would take place in Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on September 21st. The participants also wanted the Prime Minister, to inaugurate the event. The Union Minister assured of contacting PMO.

There were four participants from Sahakar Bharati including President Jyotindra Mehta but its Patron Satish Marathe could not make it due to his preoccupations.

NCUI was represented by its CE N Satyanarayan, NCCT Secretary Mohan Mishra and NCCE head V K Dubey. Tarun Bhargava and Kalol Unit head D G Inamdar represented IFFCO at the meeting while there was none from Kribhco. Nafcub CE Subhas Gupta was also there.

Among the Ministry officials two of them-Joint Secretary and Director Cooperation participated.

It bears recall that the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperation is planning a mega bash to commemorate the centenary birth centenary of late Inamdar popularly known as Vakil Saheb.

Inamdar is held as one of the mentors of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Radha Mohan is personally overseeing the preparations.

Today’s meeting was aimed at taking stock of the progress made towards the preparations for the prestigious event.

The meeting decided to release book on Inamdar being commissioned by NCUI on 21st September. Discussion as to whom to invite for the show also came up in the meeting.
