The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) will celebrate its 45th Foundation Day at its Uttarakhand Regional Office in Dehradun on July 14, highlighting its contribution to rural development and agricultural finance.
Uttarakhand Cooperation and Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat will attend the event as the chief guest. The celebrations, themed “Increasing Ground Level Credit Flow by Rural Financial Institutions,” will showcase NABARD’s achievements over the past 45 years and discuss future strategies for strengthening the rural economy.
During FY 2025-26, NABARD extended financial assistance of Rs 5,061 crore in Uttarakhand, registering nearly 19 per cent growth over the previous year. The programme will also recognise outstanding cooperative institutions, Self-Help Groups, Farmer Producer Organisations and women entrepreneurs.
Discussions on women-led rural development, agri-entrepreneurship, financial inclusion and sustainable agriculture will also be held, alongside a presentation on NABARD’s development journey in the state.
