A high-level meeting on the long-pending issue of depositors of the Dnyanradha Multi-State Co-operative Credit Society, Beed, was held under the chairmanship of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at the Cabinet Hall in Vidhan Bhavan on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by Cooperation Minister Babasaheb Patil, Ministers of State Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar and Yogesh Kadam, MLAs Suresh Dhas, Prakash Solanke and Vijay Singh Pandit, along with Dr. Omprakash Shete, Chairman of the Ayushman Bharat Mission Maharashtra Committee, and senior officials from various departments.

According to a statement issued by Shete, the delegation urged the state government to expedite the liquidation process of the society to facilitate the recovery of depositors’ funds. The memorandum proposed the appointment of dedicated IAS and IRS officers to coordinate with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and other agencies for faster disposal of attached assets.

The delegation also suggested digital mapping of assets, transparent e-auctions, a special recovery drive against defaulting borrowers, and an online information portal for depositors.

Shete claimed that nearly Rs 3,000 crore belonging to farmers, senior citizens, women, small traders and other depositors remains locked in the collapsed society.

He said the Chief Minister took serious note of the issue and assured that the matter would be reviewed with the concerned departments to expedite further action.
