The Harsar Large Size Agricultural Service Cooperative Society, registered in 1950, has emerged as a success story of cooperative-led rural development, with the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) highlighting how seamless financial assistance has enabled the society to expand its activities and strengthen services for farmers.
NCDC said the society has leveraged timely and accessible credit support to improve agricultural operations, benefit its members and contribute to the local rural economy. The corporation attributed this progress to the five years of transformative initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Cooperation, which have revitalised the cooperative sector across the country.
According to NCDC, the Ministry’s reforms, coupled with continued financial support from NCDC, are empowering cooperatives to become stronger engines of rural growth, farmer welfare and self-reliance. The corporation said these efforts are helping build a vibrant cooperative ecosystem that is contributing significantly to the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
