Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary S.P. Goyal on Tuesday chaired the 21st meeting of the State Level Coordination Committee (SLCC), convened by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), with a focus on complaints related to multi-state cooperative societies, financial frauds and unauthorised financial activities.
During the meeting, Goyal reviewed complaints concerning multi-state cooperative societies and directed all concerned departments to ensure the time-bound disposal of cases received through the RBI’s Sachet portal.
He also stressed stronger coordination among departments to curb economic and cyber crimes linked to fraudulent financial entities.
The meeting further emphasised creating public awareness about verifying the authenticity and regulatory status of institutions before investing, with the aim of protecting depositors and preventing financial fraud.
