Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the newly built Sahakar Seva Bhavan, the headquarters of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS), at Merces, Goa.

The facility is expected to enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen support for Goa’s cooperative ecosystem comprising more than 5,600 societies across various sectors.

The inauguration was held in the presence of Cooperation Minister Subhash Shirodkar, MLA Rudolfo Fernandes, and senior government officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Sawant said the new headquarters would further empower the state’s vibrant cooperative movement and improve governance and service delivery to cooperative institutions. He also felicitated cooperative and multipurpose societies for their outstanding performance and contribution to the sector.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to the vision of “Sahakar Se Samriddhi”, the Chief Minister emphasized transparency, financial discipline, and sustainable growth in the cooperative sector, while acknowledging the continued support of NABARD and other institutions in strengthening the movement.
