In a major boost to the digital modernization of India’s cooperative banking sector, 138 Rural Cooperative Banks (RCBs) have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Sahakar Sarathi Private Limited (SSPL), a technology-driven initiative supported by NABARD, NCDC and Rural Cooperative Banks.
The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies across cooperative banks, enabling them to offer more efficient, accessible and customer-centric banking services.
Through the Sahakar Sarathi platform, participating banks will gain access to shared digital infrastructure, operational support and capacity-building services designed to strengthen their technological capabilities.
SSPL has been established to help cooperative banks transition towards modern banking practices while preserving their grassroots reach and cooperative character.
The initiative seeks to create a more connected and resilient cooperative banking ecosystem capable of meeting the evolving financial needs of rural communities.
