Saraswat Bank has cautioned citizens against rising fake traffic challan scams, warning that fraudsters are sending deceptive messages containing fraudulent payment links to steal money and personal information.
In a social media post, the bank said such messages are designed to create panic among recipients by falsely claiming traffic rule violations.
Advising people to remain alert, Saraswat Bank urged users to always verify challan notifications through official platforms before making any payment.
The bank shared the advisory as part of its ongoing cyber awareness and digital safety campaign aimed at protecting customers from online fraud.
