The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has extended the directions imposed on Loknete R.D. (Appa) Kshirsagar Sahakari Bank Ltd., Niphad, Nashik, for a further period of three months, up to September 16, 2026.
The restrictions were originally imposed on the bank on December 15, 2025, under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, for a period of six months ending June 16, 2026.
According to RBI, the extension has been granted in the public interest and will remain in force until the close of business on September 16, 2026, subject to review. All other terms and conditions of the existing directive will continue unchanged.
The central bank clarified that the extension of the directive should not be construed as an indication that it is satisfied with the financial position of the bank. RBI said the bank will continue to remain under regulatory oversight during the extended period.
