In a move aimed at strengthening the cooperative ecosystem in the horticulture sector, Manoj Kumar, Director General of LINAC, met Kapil Meena, Managing Director of the National Horticulture Board, to explore potential areas of collaboration between the two organizations.

The discussions focused on leveraging the strengths of LINAC and NHB to promote sustainable growth in the horticulture sector through capacity building, improved market linkages, value addition initiatives, and institutional support for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and cooperative institutions engaged in horticultural activities.

Both sides deliberated on measures to enhance the competitiveness of horticulture producers and strengthen cooperative-led agricultural development across the country.

The proposed collaboration is also expected to contribute to the broader goal of developing a vibrant, self-reliant and farmer-centric agricultural economy through stronger cooperative institutions and market-oriented interventions.
