Goa Cooperation Minister Subhash Shirodkar on Thursday inspected the new office building of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) at Merces and reviewed the functioning of the department along with senior officials.

According to a post shared by the minister on social media, the inspection was conducted in the presence of Ashutosh Apte, Director of Provedoria Vinayak Volvoikar, and other government officials.

Shirodkar described the new facility as a modern infrastructure upgrade that will help strengthen the cooperative administration and improve public service delivery in the state. He reiterated the government’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and better governance in the cooperative sector.

The minister also chaired a review meeting on pending cases related to the Negotiable Instruments (NI) Act, non-performing assets (NPAs), and execution matters. During the meeting, he emphasized the need for timely resolution of cases, coordinated efforts among stakeholders, and stronger recovery mechanisms.

Shirodkar said that expediting recoveries and improving enforcement would help enhance financial discipline and strengthen Goa’s cooperative ecosystem.
