A press note sent by Joseph A. Purathur Deputy General Manager (Cooperative Communication & Vigilance) Dudhsagar Dairy, Mehsana reads that about 1088 Village Milk Societies have joined as parties respondents in the PIL in Gujarat High Court
The release reads “in a massive show of strength against the adversaries of Dudhsagar Dairy, 1088 cooperative milk societies of the Mehsana District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (Dudhsagar Dairy) have joined as respondents in the PIL filed in the Gujarat High Court by two milk producers.”
In a hearing in High Court of Gujarat on Monday, Division Bench of Hon. Mr. Chief Justice Bhasker Bhattacharya and Mr. JB Pardiwala after hearing the arguments of Mr. PS Champaneri, the advocate for 1088 Primary Co-operative Societies affiliated to Dudhsagar Dairy, Mehsana have directed to join them as party respondents, the Release added.
It further says that the overwhelming number of milk societies which constitute over 90% of all the societies registered and affiliated to the District Union have come together in an unprecedented show of strength in support of Shri Vipul Chaudhary.
The Milk Societies are of the firm view that these two persons have filed the PIL for their personal and political advantage only, it concludes.
