Cooperative-led mobility platform Bharat Taxi has crossed a major milestone with more than 6.01 lakh “Sarathis” joining the service across the country as of May 28, 2026.
Launched under the vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi”, Bharat Taxi is being promoted as India’s first cooperative-based ride-booking platform aimed at creating fair and transparent opportunities for drivers. The platform is currently facilitating over 9,200 rides daily nationwide, reflecting its growing reach in the mobility sector.
Supporters of the initiative said the platform is helping strengthen the cooperative movement by connecting drivers with passengers through a people-centric model focused on income generation and self-reliance.
The Bharat Taxi App is available for users seeking affordable and cooperative-driven ride services across India.
