Gujarat Biotechnology University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Ltd. (Banas Dairy) to promote innovation, research excellence and stronger industry-academia collaboration in the dairy and animal biotechnology sectors.
The partnership aims to enhance joint research activities, knowledge exchange, student engagement and translational opportunities, while supporting sustainable growth and technological advancement in the cooperative dairy sector.
The collaboration is expected to open new avenues for applied biotechnology research and skill development aligned with industry needs.
The programme was attended by Banas Dairy Chairman Shankarbhai Chaudhary and Managing Director Sangram Chaudhary, along with Gujarat Biotechnology University Director General Dr. Subeer Majumdar.
Both institutions expressed confidence that the collaboration would help bridge the gap between scientific research and practical applications in the dairy sector, benefiting students, researchers and cooperative institutions alike.
