The Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM) of the Cooperative Marketing Society Ltd. Diskit was held at Nubra T-Morh in Nubra Valley following the election notification issued by the Additional Registrar Cooperative, UT Ladakh.
The meeting was chaired by outgoing President Dorjai Dadul and attended by Sharma Tashi, Assistant Registrar Cooperative, Nubra, who presided over the proceedings on behalf of the Cooperative Department. Members were briefed on the election process, the importance of cooperative marketing societies, and the financial position and activities of the society.
Dorjai Dadul highlighted the infrastructure development and achievements made by the society over the past three years, while Accountant Cheewang Dorje presented details of the society’s accounts. Members also discussed issues related to vegetable supply and future improvement measures.
Following detailed deliberations, the General Body unanimously elected a new Board of Directors for a three-year term.
Sonam Tundup Tigar was elected President, while Golam Hussain Partapur became Vice President. The meeting concluded peacefully with a vote of thanks by Sonam Tundup.
