In a bid to ensure smooth and transparent wheat procurement operations in Madhya Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur district, Collector Riju Bafna conducted inspections at several Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS) centres on Monday.

The Collector visited procurement centres operated by PACS Karju, PACS Dudhana, PACS Mohna, PACS Chauma, Primary Cooperative Society Budlay, PACS Dupada and PACS Kherkhedi to review procurement arrangements and assess facilities being provided to farmers.

During the inspection, Bafna interacted with farmers and officials to take stock of procurement procedures, storage arrangements, weighing facilities and payment-related processes.

She directed officials to ensure transparency, timely procurement and hassle-free services for farmers arriving at the centres with their produce.
