Mahendra Yadav, Administrator of the Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (Apex Bank), chaired an important review meeting of officials from cooperative banks across the Gwalior-Chambal division, urging them to make the cooperative banking system more active, accountable, transparent and farmer-friendly.
Addressing senior officials during the meeting, Yadav emphasized that cooperative banks play a vital role in strengthening the rural economy and supporting farmers at the grassroots level.
He directed banks to ensure timely crop loans, improve recovery performance, and deliver better banking services to farmers and rural customers.
Calling for wider adoption of digital banking and modern technology, Yadav said cooperative banks must evolve with changing times while remaining committed to farmers’ welfare.
The meeting reviewed the performance of district cooperative banks, implementation of government schemes, loan distribution, and recovery status.
