In a move aimed at strengthening the co-operative ecosystem and community-based institutions, the Government of Telangana has appointed chairpersons and vice-chairpersons to several corporations, many of them rooted in the co-operative framework.
The newly constituted governing boards will serve a tenure of two years from the date of assuming charge.
The appointments cover key co-operative corporations representing traditional occupational and community groups, including washermen, toddy tappers, Yadavas, Vadderas, and others.
These bodies play a crucial role in promoting economic activities, providing institutional support, and facilitating welfare initiatives through co-operative structures.
The order also includes appointments to sectoral bodies such as the Telangana Handloom Development Corporation Limited, further underlining the focus on allied sectors closely linked with co-operative networks.
Detailed terms and conditions of the appointments are expected to be issued separately.
