In a significant step towards strengthening the cooperative movement, Dileep Sanghani, Chairman of Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited, has been elected as the Chairman of the IFFCO Kisan Special Economic Zone (IKSEZ) in Nellore.
The development is being seen as another milestone in advancing the vision of “prosperity through cooperation,” with IKSEZ expected to play a transformative role in farmer empowerment and agri-business expansion.
Spread across 2,776 acres, the IKSEZ project is designed as a forward-looking platform to boost agricultural value chains, promote agro-based industries, and create large-scale employment opportunities. The zone is projected to generate over 30,000 direct jobs, significantly contributing to rural economic development.
With a strong cooperative foundation, the initiative aims to integrate farmers into modern agri-business ecosystems, ensuring better income prospects and sustainable growth.
