In a recent order under the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002, the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS) has disposed of an appeal filed by the Chief Promoter of United Agriculture Multi State Cooperative Society Ltd., Ahmedabad.

The appeal challenged the June 25, 2025 order of the CRCS, which had rejected the society’s registration proposal. The matter was heard on April 7, 2026, by Appellate Authority Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani.

During the hearing, the appellant appeared in person but failed to present clear or convincing grounds. He was unable to explain the reasons for rejection of the proposal or substantiate the claims made in the appeal.

Observing the lack of clarity and merit in the submission, the Appellate Authority declined to grant relief. Instead, the appellant was advised to file a fresh application for registration through the CRCS portal after ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Act and Rules.

The appeal was accordingly disposed of, with liberty granted to reapply in accordance with law.
