Pandurang Kurtikar, Chairman of the Goa State Co-operative Bank and Sai Nursing Institute, inaugurated the workshop titled “Creating a Green Niche for a Greener Tomorrow 2.0” at the Sai Institute of Naturopathy, Sankhali.
The programme was organised by the Goa State Climate Change Cell (GSCCC), functioning under the Goa State Biodiversity Board (GSBB), as part of the National Mission on Strategic Knowledge for Climate Change (NMSKCC). The initiative aimed to raise awareness among local communities about biodiversity conservation, climate-resilient practices, and the sustainable use of natural resources.
Participants were sensitised to the growing challenges of climate change and the need for community-driven action. The workshop also highlighted the importance of adopting eco-friendly lifestyles and promoting nature-based solutions that can generate sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The event witnessed active participation from local stakeholders and reaffirmed the commitment of institutions in Goa towards environmental sustainability and climate-conscious development.
