Zepto eyes bigger role in Co-operative distribution

Quick commerce platform Zepto is looking to expand its role in distributing cooperative products across India following a meeting between co-founder and CEO Aadit Palicha and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

In a LinkedIn post, Palicha said discussions focused on scaling Zepto’s partnerships with government-backed cooperatives. Shah, who also oversees the Ministry of Cooperation, has been pushing to strengthen the sector.

Zepto already distributes products from brands like Amul and now plans to deepen this engagement across categories. The move reflects a broader trend of quick commerce platforms evolving into supply-chain partners.

Greater collaboration is expected to improve market access for millions of farmers and producers, especially in urban centres, though no formal roadmap has yet been announced.
