As per the order, the administrator will manage the affairs of the federation in place of the Board of Directors under Section 123 of the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act (as amended in 2023).
Singh’s tenure as administrator will be six months, during which he has been directed to ensure the conduct of free and fair elections for the constitution of a new Board of Directors at the earliest. The order also states that he will not receive any additional remuneration for performing the duties of administrator.
