National Cooperative Consumers Federation of India has continued its support to farmers through the procurement of chana at the Tarsiwa PACS in Dhamtari District.
The procurement is being carried out under the Price Support Scheme, which aims to ensure that farmers receive remunerative prices for their produce.
According to an update shared by NCCF on social media, the initiative reflects the cooperative body’s continued commitment to ensuring fair procurement and strengthening market support for farmers. By purchasing chana directly from farmers through PACS centres, the scheme helps safeguard growers against price fluctuations in the open market.
Officials said such procurement operations not only ensure better returns for farmers but also strengthen the cooperative marketing network and the broader agricultural support system in the country.
